Dear Customer,
We’re installing a new water pipe in your area
We’re installing a new water pipe along Drainless Road between the junction of Beacon Lane and the junction of Fleming Road.
The new pipeline will provide a more sustainable and secure water supply for the area.
What happens next?
On Monday 24 July 2023, for a period of about 6 weeks, we’ll start work in the 4-way junction which is Drainless Road, Beacon Lane and Hammill Road before moving along Drainless Road.
How will this affect me?
Traffic lights/Road closure
At the 4-way junction, we’ll have traffic lights to maintain the safe flow of traffic
through our works.
Once the work to install the new water main in Drainless Road starts we’ll need to
close Drainless Road because it will not be safe to go past the construction site.
There will be a diversion in place. You’ll find a map of the diversion route at the
bottom of this letter.
- Access
You’ll always be able to access your property if you live inside the closure, but
you may need to follow the diversion depending where in the road we are working.
- Noise
You’ll see us on site from 7.30am, but we’ll not start any noisy work until 8am. We’ll
always aim to finish by 5pm.
